US District Court – Eastern MO Issues Continued Limits on In-Person Hearings and In-Person Clerk’s Office Business

The US District Court – Eastern MO will limit in-person proceedings to criminal hearings or trials where an in-person appearance is necessary, for the remainder of 2020. Civil jury trials will all be postponed until 2021 unless there is a very particular exigent circumstance requiring in-person appearance per the presiding Judge. All other civil and criminal matters will proceed remotely.

In addition, the Clerk’s Office for the Eagleton Courthouse will be closed to in-person business through close of business Friday, November 13, 2020, and the Clerk’s Office for the Limbaugh Courthouse will be closed to in-person business through the close of business Tuesday, November 17, 2020. These closures may be further extended if necessary. Both offices remain open remotely.
