Application - Through its Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Plan, the Court's 2019 CJA Application Process is open. Dependent on experience, attorneys who wish to serve as appointed contract counsel on criminal cases may apply to be members of the CJA Panel or the CJA Mentee Attorney Panel.  Any attorney requesting to be a new member of the CJA Panel or CJA Mentee Attorney Program must submit a completed application for membership no later than July 11, 2019. Applications must be sent to the attention of Clerk of Court Gregory J. Linhares by email to MOED_CJA_Applications@moed.uscourts.gov by the deadline stated above. For those selected, new CJA panel member terms will begin in October. NOTE: Existing CJA Panel attorneys should not complete this application.  See Renewal Application below for 2019 Renewal Group only.

Renewal Application - As set forth in the Court's Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Plan, terms of CJA Panel Members are staggered over three years for renewal. One third of the panel has been randomly selected to apply for reappointment to the CJA Panel for the 2019 renewal period.  Members of the 2019 Renewal Group were notified by email.  All CJA Panel members in the renewal group who wish to be considered for reappointment must complete the renewal application and submit it to the attention of Clerk of Court Gregory J. Linhares by email to MOED_CJA_Applications@moed.uscourts.gov no later than July 11, 2019.
