Reappointment of Federal Public Defender Lee T. Lawless

The current term of office of Federal Public Defender Lee T. Lawless,  Federal Public Defender for the Eastern District of Missouri, is due to expire on November 16, 2018. The United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit is considering the reappointment of Mr. Lawless to a new four-year term of office. The Court has appointed a committee to assist in his review and that committee shall report all findings to the Court.  
 
Members of the bar and the public are invited to submit comments for consideration by the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit regarding the reappointment of Mr. Lawless to a new term of office. All comments will be kept confidential and should be directed to:
